The library and all city offices will be closed Monday, May 29, 2017 for Memorial Day.

The library will be open normal hours Tuesday, May 30th. 

Summer Reading Lists

2017 Teen Summer Reading 

Pick up your Teen Summer Reading Log at the Youth Services Department any time between June 26, and August 7, 2017. Read 4 hours each week. Bring your log to the children's desk at the library and pick out a weekly prize. You will also be entered in our weekly raffle.

Meet your goal at least 4 out of the 7 weeks of our summer program and you will earn an invite to our end of summer party.

• You must read at least 4 hours per week and get your log checked to receive a prize.
• You will get one prize and one raffle ticket per weekly visit.
• The last day to get your log checked is Friday, August 11, 2017.*
• If you meet your goal at least 4 out of the 7 weeks of our summer program you will earn an invite to our end of summer party.

Remember, you may only get your log checked once a week. Teens grade 5-12 can participate in the reading part of our program. Everything counts as reading—books, magazines, comics. Remember, to sign up for any of the summer reading activities, you must also sign up for the reading part of the program.

Plant a Better World

Wednesday, July 12 – 2:30 – 3:30 PM

Decorate your own Plant a Better World planter and bring it home. We'll add seeds in your planter and you can take it with you to watch your plants grow.  Open to young people grades 5-12. Build a Better World Baseball Cap

Design your own baseball cap demonstrating the ways that you can Build a Better World.  Supplies provided for you to use your creativity. Open to young people grades 5-12.
